Kate Bushey earned her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2004, after graduating from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana in 2001 with a degree in Finance. Kate joined Kaman & Cusimano in 2006, where she has since focused her practice on community association assessment recovery, bankruptcy, and covenant enforcement. Kate enjoys focusing her career on community association law because it affords her an opportunity for her to work with a variety of people in various situations to develop real solutions to challenging problems. Kate is a partner in the firm.
From 2014-2018 Kate was named as an Ohio SuperLawyers Rising Star, an honor conferred upon less than 2.5% of the attorneys in Ohio. Ms. Bushey is also a member of the Community Associations Institute and is on the Government and Public Affairs Committee for CAI and on the Complaint Committee of the CMCA Professional Conduct Enforcement Committee. In 2021, she was also appointed to a three year Stakeholder seat on the CAMICB Board of Commissioners and was the 2023 CAI Northern Ohio Board President.
