I focus primarily on general counsel, corporate and transactional matters, complex litigation, construction defects, business advice, transactions, employment issues and conflict resolution and avoidance for large, medium and small businesses, condominiums, homeowners associations, planned community associations, cooperatives, churches and other nonprofit clients. I have the distinguished honor of membership in the Community Associations Institutes College of Community Association Lawyers and the privilege of serving the College of Community Association Lawyers on its Board of Governors and as its President in 2013.
Now in its Sixth Edition, I wrote Community Association Law in Arizona, published by the State Bar of Arizona. It is the definitive book on the law of mandatory membership associations in Arizona.
I am a member of the Community Associations Institute's National Faculty and am a frequent contributor to continuing legal education courses on the topic of mandatory-membership community associations.
The Carpenter Law Firm started in 2024 after 30 years at Carpenter, Hazlewood, Delgado & Bolen, LLP.
