CAI After Dark

Start making your plans to experience all the nightly entertainment presented at this year’s
conference. To help you get started, we’ve compiled a list of must-attend events and useful tips
to help you navigate your stay.

A big perk of CAI’s annual conference is that the majority of week’s programs and festivities are
located at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort. Once you’re here, you don’t need to worry about
getting around town.

We hope you arrive early to check in, stop by the registration table, and relax before the annual
Welcome Reception begins. A short walk from the hotel’s sleeping rooms, CAI hosts 2000+
participants on Wednesday, May 15, at the reception taking center stage in the sold-out Exhibit
Hall. Back by popular demand, the Exhibit Hall location makes an excellent venue to gather with
your colleagues, become reacquainted with old friends, and make a few new ones. Join us from
5-7 p.m. for live DJ music and MC, delicious hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and the chance to
connect with conference attendees, exhibitors, and speakers. Trust us, CAI’s Welcome
Reception is not your typical sleepy conference gathering. Whether you’re a first-time or
returning conference attendee, the Welcome Reception offers a fun, casual environment and an
easy way to meet new people! Click to see the Exhibit Hall floorplan, and start arranging your
meetings today.

On Thursday, after a day of education and networking, don’t call it quits just yet, especially if
you’re a community association manager. Join CAI as we host 600+ community managers from
around the world at the Professional Community Association Managers (PCAM) Reception. The
annual event recognizes the new PCAM designees and celebrates all 3,000+ PCAM recipients.
The party is open to all PCAMs and community managers and will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
in Gatlin D Ballroom, featuring music, food stations, and cocktails. A special thanks to our
sponsors, Kevin Davis Insurance Services and United Claims Specialists.

Following the Insurance Professionals ShopTalk, CAI hosts the annual Insurance Professionals
Reception, just steps away in the Conway Ballroom. This exclusive event is open to insurance
professionals only and is sponsored by Ian H. Graham Insurance. Always a popular gathering
spot, the reception brings together more than 100 of the community associations industry’s top
insurance leaders. Connect with other insurance professionals, share insights, and discuss
future trends at this informal happy hour from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

At the conclusion of the hotel receptions, the party goes off site. Join us for #TBT as CAI's
Central Florida Chapter hosts a CAIddyshack-themed party at the Orlando Drive Shack. The
interactive driving range serves as a throwback to Bushwood Country Club where players of
every slice or fade can kick back and relax with conference attendees. Live music by the
Marcus Gullen Band. Don't be a "gopher," here's your chance to "be the ball." Get your ticket
today, before the event sells out! Party hours are from 6:30-10 p.m. and complimentary
transportation from the hotel is included.

After an action-packed week, you might feel like ordering room service, but that would be a big
mistake! The annual Friday night awards dinner has a totally new vibe in 2019. Introducing the
CAI Backyard Bash and Annual Awards, a party where you are encouraged to bring your
dancing shoes, wear your festive party attire, and plan to stay all night. We’ve designed a
community backyard, featuring a live DJ, delicious food, cocktails, glow-in-the-dark cornhole
and other backyard games, photo booth, and good neighborhood fun. This is your one last
chance to network with your community association peers in a fun, relaxed atmosphere while
sipping cocktails and dancing the night away. We’re confident that this is the party everyone will
be talking about on Saturday!
