I have been managing properties since 1998. The first 15 of those years I was an apartment manager. Obviously I've switched over to the HOA side now and couldn't see myself doing anything else. I have been onsite at my community since 2013.
Our community is a mixed use, urban, revitalized community with condos, townhomes, retail, and even a parking deck association governed like a condo building. All total we have 7 associations and numerous commercial spaces. We are the only community built on the banks of the historic James River in RVA.
I'm fortunate to co-manage this community with someone who knows the industry inside and out. She has taught and continues to teach me what I need to know to be a great manager. I don't think I could have picked a better place to embark on my association management career!
