As a committed community citizen (wife, mother, grandmother, community volunteer, counselor, and training professional) I have engaged myself in our Loveland community that I now call home. I serve on both the Master HOA for Lakes of Centerra and the sub-association Board for The Shores as well as serving out MetroDistrict. The sustainability of our beautiful landscape, conscious development of the environment and parks were the impetus for my interest in this particular area of community involvement.
I am energized by, and passionate about, working with individuals and teams. I thrive when co-creating pathways to realize the full potential and sustainability of programs and personal and/or organizational goals. I believe in “getting curious” to explore and identify missions, core capabilities, and the types of organizations and services that nourish growth and development. These are the catalysts for success.
My education experience includes M.S.Ed. degrees in Counseling and Instructional Design, as well as graduate certification in Organizational Behavior and Consulting. My undergraduate degree was in Public Administration. In addition I hold several professional certifications: GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator) and NCDA CCC (Certified Career Counselor) certified, and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources). To attain these credentials, my ability to learn technical standards and review complex documents were an essential qualification. Similarly, my undergraduate degree in Public Administration gave me an understanding of governmental operations.
I spent 25+ years working in various Organization Development and Training roles for Alcatel-Lucent (now Nokia) and its heritage companies (Lucent, AT&T), followed by work in the Insurance and Energy industries. I began my career working for the Illinois Department of Transportation – Bureau of Railroads, and Northern Illinois University. I am know a Certified Career Counselor working with both individuals and University MBA/MHR students.
